I just received my Pedal Commander for my 2008 DC. Any suggestions on where to mount the box? Photos would be great! TIA

Its better that way, I just stuffed it behind the hump behind the vents near the pedals, and monitor it on my phone. much better than having to mount it on the dash IMO.

Ran the cable through and mounted mine by the ignition. Didn't want to use Bluetooth, got enough apps on my phone.

Thank you both for the input! I decided on this placement to start. Can always move underneath later.

Does it improve gas mileage and more throttle response? Just wondering.

Depending on what mode you put it on, it can save on gas. But thats not why I got one, I think my gas mileage got worse at 10.8 mpg. And I'm good with it .

Takes the sluggishness out of the acceleration. These trucks don't have a ton of get up and go off the line, so it helps a ton, but you need to find your own personal sweet spot. I know where I like it but at first, until you learn how to give it that feather touch, you can really jump. Fine when I'm motion, but from a dead stop if the setting is higher than you're used to it'll really get on it. But it just increases throttle response is all. And when passing on the highway you can really tell when you push the big pedal down hard.

With my 2013 CrewMax I find that when I step on my gas pedal from a dead stop, it seems to respond as if I stepped really hard on the pedal but I don't. It's weird, I can't just depress the pedal normally because it really does move so I press harder and that's when it wants to take off.

What you are describing is solved on my Tundra by using the Eco mode from Pedal Commander. I get a nice steady acceleration from a hard stop that isn't jumpy and overkill. Of course if I want to blast around then I can put Pedal Commander in Sport+

JUMPY is exactly what sport + feels like, I literally banged my head against the head rest in the parking lot leaving the store with it on sport + for the first time

I watched A few videos of Tundras at the track with one having the pedal commander and the other one didn't. Both trucks put up almost identical ET's. It seems the only difference is if you have a pedal commander and it's in sport mode, it just takes less pedal effort to give that sporty feel. The eco mode does seem to have some effect on gas mileage if used right

The touchy pedal was a known issue on the 2nd gen Tundras. You can order the current part number pedal and it will even that out.

City mode is really nice, even acceleration from a stop without being jumpy and feels like the initial jumpiness of OEM throttle control is cleaned up a bit. Granted I think we all will have our own experience with and can only speak to mine but so far i'm truly loving how it just feels like an instant upgrade in acceleration and throttle.

I have mine up for sale for $50 less than new. BT version. I've used it for approx 6 months, but don't need it now that I'm having a TRD supercharger installed.
